Caledonian Team's Match Report

Cambusbarron Rovers 4 v EKYM 2

Sat 22nd August 2009, Caledonian Premier League Fixture

 

YM started their match at league leaders Cambusbarron on the offensive but their possession lacked penetration and nearing the middle of the half the home side showed YM how to finish clinically with three goals in a fifteen minute spell.

 

Half time gave YM a chance to reorganise but they lost a fourth goal in the first minute which all but finished the game as a contest.  To YMs credit they took the game to Cambusbarron, missed a sitter, made three changes with Thomson, Hannah and Bryson replacing Woods, Hill and Bovill and found themselves back in the match when Greg Hannah rifled in an 18 yard shot that beat the keeper all ends up.

 

Gary Bryson quickly added a second goal and all of a sudden YM were back in the match with most of the action taking place in the host half. Five minutes from time a penalty kick came YM's way but the keeper saved and eventually the game petered out with the home side claiming their third league victory while YM have lost both their league mtches.

A frustrating time for Tony and Frank as they watch their team playing some good play but the defending is at times very poor.
