It was 1938 when East Kilbride Y.M were formed with one of the earliest Team Managers being John Cadzow who kept the team going through the war by enlisting local players and serviceman stationed nearby.  There was no official league at this time therefore it was a credit to John and the likes who left a great legacy in the form of our club.

In the early 1950's when the new town was being formed the team was being marshalled by Jack Fowler who won a few trophies during this decade.  It was at this time that a young 17 year old Les Goodfellow joined the under 18s before progressing ultimately to the firsts.  Les, as every one knows, is still at the club over 50 years later as the most active Committee member.

Currently the 'YM' have two teams who play in the Caledonian Premier League and the Scottish Amateur Non Premier Division 2.
